Article 2 - Membership

2.01 TYPES. Upon proper application and qualifications, to organizations, teams and leagues who agree to be governed by the By-Laws, Rules and Regulations of Minnesota Softball.

2.02 MINNESOTA SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION. Minnesota Softball current affiliations is with USA Softball, NAFA Youth Fast Pitch, and Minnesota USSSA Fast Pitch. The geographical area/boundaries shall be that area within and covered by the rules for the current Minnesota Softball affiliation. Minnesota Softball shall be divided into districts with one Minnesota Softball District Commissioner, selected by the board of directors. The Minnesota Softball District Commissioner shall act as a liaison between that district and Minnesota Softball.

A. Current District Boundaries (by county)

District 1 – Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmstead, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Winona.

District 2 – Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Jackson, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, Rock, Waseca, Watonwan.

District 3 – Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey, Washington.

District 4 – TBD

District 5 – Carver, Hennepin, Scott, Wright.

District 6 – Benton, Big Stone, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pope, Renville, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Traverse, Yellow Medicine.

District 7 – Aitkin, Carlton, Chisago, Cook, Crow Wing, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, Pine, St. Louis

District 8 – Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Clay, Clearwater, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, Roseau, Wadena, Wilkin.

B. Minnesota Softball District Map:

C. Adult League Team Member: Each League/association shall pay to Minnesota Softball $15.00 for each team registered within the League/association dues.

D. Adult Associated Member: (Non-Minnesota Softball League Team) Each Adult Associated Member shall pay to Minnesota Softball $30.00 for each team registered. The Adult Associated Member must submit a team roster with each player’s name, address, and date of birth to the Commissioner.

E. Youth League Member: Each League/association shall pay to Minnesota Softball $15.00 for each team registered within the League/association dues.

F. Youth Associated Member: (Non-Minnesota Softball League Team) Each Youth Associated Member shall pay to Minnesota Softball $30.00 for each team registered. The Youth Associated Member must submit a team roster with each player’s name, address, and date of birth to the Commissioner. The Youth Associated Member must demonstrate Geographic Hardship to the Commissioner and/or his or her appointee as to why they cannot play in a Minnesota Softball League.

2.03 OTHER MEMBERSHIPS. Minnesota Softball membership shall also include the following classes of membership comprising the Council, which are selected without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or sexual orientation.
